I'm speechless at your compliment but glad to learn that these paintings heavy with very specific Pakistan references can reach across the distance.

I have to admit that I couldn't think of a comment for Street Smarts because it's so complex (at least in my mind) and I was so distracted by my anticipation of this piece. and I love it! all this multimedia/collage work is wonderful and the narrative of this piece is so straightforward and powerful without being trite or shallow. I particularly love the way you finished the purse. absolutely wonderful! I know we all keep saying this, but Pakistan certainly agrees with your work, at least when it's cool enough in your studio to breathe and think :)

excuse me rattling on about the heat

Thank you. I think I can see the impacts of the heat in my paint handling.

My air conditioner can get the temp down to 30C/86F, but the power kicks off for an hour every hour or so (I'm lucky that it isn't for longer). Three to seven minutes after it kicks off, I'm suddenly streaming with sweat emerging from all over me and by the time the AC comes on again, I'm sitting in a puddle. I hose myself down with the shower head a couple of time a day to remove the salt. I think the locals would laugh if I complained because this heat is dry. Monsoon season is coming, which means the heat plus high, high humidity.

Usually the sweat streams erupt at the exact time that Heathcliff starts panting, he provides a soundtrack. He often abandons me for the bedroom where we have a bigger air conditioner still, it stays cooler.

I'm chilly by nature and in the past didn't sweat much, ever!

I went through your recent paintings; and it feels like home :-) You seem to be capturing the feel of this part of the world, wholeheartedly. Great work! Cheers and keep on painting!!!

Thank you... I'm so relieved that you think I'm getting some things right. Am researching and painting crocodiles today. :D
