I love this. Someday I will be lucky enough to own one of your pieces, especially since Asian themes are coming through. My era of early teens was the Beatles and I soaked in what they were bringing to us from this region.

I'm sorry, I don't keep up with friends' posts so I am not sure of your situation any more. Have you moved to Pakistan rather permanently or do you still have a place in the midwest and still have your gallery? It would have been fun to go out there and meet you. My sister lives in Ohio and if I had a few extra days, I could have gone out there.

I got it. We are here for the foreseeable future, which is not permanent and highly contingent on many diverse factors. No place in the midwest. I call my folks' house "our country home" and they have not yet thrown anything at me when I say this so it is still very much a home base.

Anyway! Still have a gallery in Ohio, with a lot of work! Please do go see! Afterwards you can go by Jungle Jim's, which I also miss.

It is going through a very awkward stage today. I am mucking around with a 00 brush on a canvas with very visible weave. There is a reason sane painters don't do this. :)

I'm enjoying these mixed media works, especially the way you're playing with the colors and textures. I also love the way the pattern is showing through. it's all coming together beautifully.

Me too. Awesome asshole is just right. It amazes me that of my serious equine injuries (broken finger, arm, and concussion) somehow he wasn't responsible for ANY of them.

OK, I think he broke my baby toe by stomping on it. But I had on sandals-- so my stupid for that one.

he actually rolled on me but paused to let me off. then allowed me to get back on b4 he got up. i never joined the groundhogs club because once i was hanging around his neck he stoped bucking.

Thank you. I keep wanting to sit and stare at it and figure out some magic trick but it is really a "stop thinking and get it painted" kind of piece.

Love the--things that look like paisley, I'm sure they have a better name. And great colors.

I love the paisleys too. I bought that fabric at a shop where they sell pre-cut fabric for women's suits. It will show up in a couple of paintings.

There is an owl (I think) in our neighborhood that screams bloody murder in the middle of the night. Don't the best friends do this? :)

Yes some friends can be oh so noisy but aren't you glad when a painting can just allow you to give your opinion without speaking back negatively? This painting looks very friendly indeed allowing you to help it grow. Hope it doesn't get ornery on ya!
