I know this piece is supposed to be that way, but I'm having a hard time accepting it. I like it in the context of the rest of the series.

I really like how the color transitions into black and white.

Halloween Day on a lonely back road in an unfamiliar place. Your car breaks down. Your cell phone isn't working; this is apparently a Dead Zone. You get out and start walking toward the nearest sign of civilization--three lonely houses far off in the distance. As the sun goes down and twilight begins to descend, it starts to rain. From somewhere not too far away, you hear a dog howl...at least you hope it's only a dog.
